Second Half of the 2015/16 Curling Season Underway

Another Christmas / New Years has wound down and curlers are returning to our great ice in an effort to work off some of the extra calories resulting from too much food and drink. In addition to regularly scheduled league play, the Club will also be hosting a number of events commencing 8-10 Jan 2016 with the MCT Ladies Open Bonspiel. The Spiel will feature AMCC's Michelle Montford, Joelle Brown and Barb Spencer as they compete against five other teams (all with berths in the Provincial Scotties) for cash and MCT points while preparing to win Manitoba. Free admission to some great curling with draws at 5 pm Friday, 4 pm Saturday, 11 am Sunday and playoffs at 2 pm and 5 pm on Sunday.

The Montford, Brown and Spencer teams have a very good chance of winning the Province. The JT Ryan and Laura Burtnyk AMCC teams are strong favourites to capture the Provincial Juniors which start this week in Rivers. In addition the Dennis Bohn squad will be highly rated at the Provincial Mens Championship scheduled for mid-February in Selkirk.

The Board Of Directors, staff and Management appreciate your continued patronage of our great facility and hope that all of you thoroughly enjoy the second half of the season.
